June 2026: The Chesapeake Alliance hosted its Understanding Data Centers educational forum, bringing together experts from a variety of perspectives to discuss the opportunities, challenges, and community considerations associated with data center development.

The forum provided elected officials, planning commissioners, business leaders, and residents with an opportunity to hear directly from industry professionals, infrastructure experts, economic development leaders, environmental advocates, and public sector representatives.

By presenting diverse viewpoints and factual information, the event encouraged thoughtful dialogue and helped participants gain a deeper understanding of this complex and increasingly important topic.
