Oct 2025: The Chesapeake Alliance hosted an educational member social exploring the policies, trends, and opportunities shaping the future of data centers.

Held at the beautiful Riverview Centre, Chesapeake’s premier event venue, the event featured Chris Lloyd, Partner at McGuireWoods, who shared valuable insights into the evolving data center industry, including site selection, economic development, infrastructure considerations, and the policy issues influencing data center investment across Virginia and beyond.

The evening provided members with an opportunity to connect with business and community leaders while gaining a deeper understanding of one of the fastest-growing sectors impacting economic development and local communities.
